Looking at this at this point, it seems they are going to have this go down and get arrested, will think that he's got to get out confront Sofie he can get her to come clean. However, I think they are bringing Cole to rape her for real and she's thinking if I drop charges on Paul, no one will believe me in the Cole rape, so she's force to not seek justice out of fear, and can't handle it, loses control of her mental states before clearing Paul. Cole sneak back out of town and maybe no one but perhaps Barbara even know he was in town. Cause I still wouldn't be surprised to find out Barbara brought Jim to town. She trying to get Jaws/Paul together, getting her the job at hospital. We are suppose to believe that Cole just picked the perfect time to come to town. Barbara is always trying to control and make things go her way. And I can see her not telling Paul about Cole and letting Paul suffer through it all, until she get caught trying to pay off Cole. Paul having to do all the work clearing himself. I have always thought that Barbara was the most horrible mother that ever darken the soap world. She worked with James as he tormented his son.She worked with Ro as she put a hurting on Paul, just so she coulpe be free. And the whole time using I love my kids which makes it so much more evil to me anyway.
Paul better hope Sofie don't lose it before clearing him, and everyone thinking that Sofie lose it because of him. They using Barbara' illness to prop the boring couple. She wouldn't even agree to help Barbara until she offer to get her job back. What a freaking user. And I know they don't think Paul's fans is going to buy into this fake instant luv for Paul coming out of no where after two years. Just a plot for Paul to think he got it off, used Sofie to scare up Meg into thinking he wasn't taking it anymore and would move on, she came around, it worked, only to find out he's going to pay for using Sofie. Now I hope he get enough alone time to think about going to wake up Ro to use her also.
Don't get me wrong I really can care less who Paul use to attain what he wants, if he's doing it for himself or to attain something that decent and good for him or to him. I never want Paul to be a fake saint or care what anyone thinks. And as a RH Paul fan first he can $hit on the moon for all I care. But the buck stop at one thing and that's doing it to attain Jaws.
I could care less about what woman he's with as long as he's in control and being reall Paul, so it's not even about couple, for me it's a one person and that Meg. Can't support anything PEG. So due to that I hope Paul see harm he causing folks and remember Sofie's words long after she's gone, that he has no relationship with Meg, that it's not love but abuse, and when two people hurt each other as much as her and Paul does, they should be apart. Not to mention the people that get hurt to prop the dead couple.

Ro got what she wanted, that Paul don't end up with Meg and the baby that he made while cheating on her and we saw what happen to that brat.
